COVID-19: Safe Reopen Begins Today
After nearly 4 months of closure, we are happy to announce that Derby United Headquarters (HQ) will begin its limited reopening today, Monday June 29, 2020. With safety as our a top priority, our outdoor recreational facility is able to provide a lower risk fitness offering to San Diegians seeking to get moving. Though we are a long way from returning to the game of roller derby, we are happy to offer limited capacity outdoor recreational roller skating and fitness classes.
All Recreational and Derby Fitness members will be asked to wear masks and socially distance at all times, including throughout their instruction. All visitors to HQ are asked to familiarize themselves with our facility safety protocol and self-screen daily before leaving home.
Those entering the facility must always be pre-registered to participate in any class or open session. No drop ins or walk ups are allowed at any time. No guests or spectators are allowed. One parent or guardian of youth skaters may remain on site and must stay properly distanced and away from the track. Guests with special needs that may require an additional entry may reach out for individual accommodations.
Given the changing local impact of the pandemic, in place of monthly membership, Derby United will be utilizing a digital “Punch Card” system through our membership software, Zen Planner. Punch cards may be utilized in that program category ie. Recreational Instruction, Open Sessions and Derby Fitness. Punch card memberships may be purchased here.
Safety is our number one concern for participants and guests at Derby United. Folks who violate the safety procedures may be asked to leave the facility. No refunds will be given. Thank you for your patience and positivity as we work through this new way of operating. We look forward to seeing you at HQ!
